Felipe Chumil Tún
Felipe is a 44 year old farmer. He is married and lives in Sololá. He has seven children, four of them boys. One of them is on his own, another is a student in primary school at a community school and two work with him in the fields. One of his three daughters is a college student and the other two help out at home.

He is a farmer who grows carrots, potatoes and beets on a parcel of land he has next to his house and on another parcel some kilometers from his community. He learned this from the time he was 10 years old, working with his cousin in farming, It has been his main job and source of income.
He saw the need to create and have his own crops because he saw that the price and the quality of the product he grows is making good profits and has helped in the economic development of his family.

Now he has been growing his own crops 22 years and sees that he has another opportunity to expand to another parcel. That is why he is asking for a loan of Q 9,000.00 so he can buy carrot seeds and fertilizer for planting and to harvest, improving his and his family's income.

He dreams of in the future being able to support his family and give his children who are still in school a good education, all of which will be to have a better family development.

Felipe es un hombre agricultor de 44 años de edad, el está casado y vive en Sololá. El tiene siete hijos de ellos cuatro varones la cual uno trabaja independientemente, otro quien es estudiante en el nivel primario en una escuela de su comunidad y dos que trabajan juntos en el campo. Tres hijas una de ellas también es estudiante de una carrera académica y dos apoyan en los oficios del hogar.

El se dedica a la agricultura cultivando zanahoria, papa y remolacha en una parcela que tiene al lado de su hogar así como en otra parcela que tiene a unos kilómetros de la comunidad. Esto lo aprendió desde que el tenia 10 años trabajando con su primo en la agricultura siendo así su principal trabajo como fuente de ingresos económicos.
Viendo la necesidad de crear y tener su propio cultivo por que el ha visto que el precio y la calidad del producto que cultiva es buena obteniendo ganancias que le han a poyado al desarrollo económico de su familia.
El ahora cuenta con 22 años de realizar su propio cultivo viendo que tiene más oportunidades para ampliar otra parcela. De este modo el solicita un préstamo de Q 9,000.00 para que pueda comprar semillas de zanahoria y su fertilizante para sembrar y cosecharlo mejorando sus ingresos junto a su familia.
El sueña que en un futuro pueda emprender un nuevo comercio con el apoyo de su familia así como poder darles los estudios académicos a sus hijos que aun estudian, todo con el fin de tener un mejor desarrollo familiar.
