Asha is 29 years old and lives in Msambweni with her husband and their two-year-old child. She is characterized as a serious, calm and correct person who likes to do things well and with care. She is very dedicated to her work and takes care of her child who is her great source of joy and motivation to work hard.
She works at a local business center selling fish. She started this business with a small amount of capital that her spouse gave her. This is the first loan she is requesting from Yehu, with which she plans to buy fish and cooking oil. In this way she can help her family with the expenses that they incur.
Her dream is to open a fish depot in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
