Marina's story

Marina is a 53-year-old mother with a great work ethic. She lives with her common-law husband Amadeo, with whom she shares the pride of having five children. They live in a home built of of bricks.

After working for many years in farming, she opted to go into business selling groceries so that she could be closer to her children, who support her full-time in her business. She noticed that there was a need for such a business ten years ago, and she took a great deal of initiative to get it started. Her store has a comfortable ambiance and is located on the first floor of her home.

She is very satisfied since in running her business she has managed to make friends and to become very well-known in the area.

She wishes to re-supply her business and buy products at wholesale that are in high demand by her customers. This will allow her to obtain better prices and to keep her business going.

In the future she wants to complete the second floor of her home and thus be able to rent out rooms so that she can improve her family's economic conditions. She needs 3,000 nuevos soles in order to supply her business with sacks of flour, rice, sugar and other items.
