A loan of $1,200 helped a member to renovate her family's old house.

Kea's Group's story

Kea is a 31-year-old mother of two children. She earns a living primarily by farming rice. In addition, she weaves mats while her husband works for others for a fee, to earn extra income to support the family. She has been in this business for five years, and the current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day to feed the family.

Kea has been with VisionFund for one previous loan cycle. She completely repaid the past loan. The loan helped her to relieve her family’s burdens and to improve their livelihood.

Now Kea is leading her group to ask for a new loan. She will use her portion of this loan to renovate her old house. She hopes this loan will enable her to have a proper house for her family to live in.
