The young Zeneyda has a business of selling milk products in the city of León. She has been doing this work for eleven years in order to support her household. She leaves her home, which is located in a community in the department of León, at 5:00 am, and she opens her business at 6:00 am to offer [her products] to all her customers, ending her work at 12:00 pm from Monday to Friday on this same schedule. In the afternoon, she prepares her products for the following day. She began this business as a street vendor, with a little capital that was the product of her savings and support from her husband. She is the mother of three children. Only two are in her care.
The young woman is applying to Ceprodel for a loan that she will use for medical expenses (completing a clinical study for goiter surgery), which will allow her to recover her health and thus continue working with her business. During her operation, her oldest daughter will be in charge of helping her with the business. She hopes to recover her health as quickly as possible to be able to continue offering support to her young children.
La Joven Zeneyda posee un negocio de venta de productos lácteos en la ciudad de León, desde hace once años realiza este trabajo para llevar el sustento a su hogar. Ella sale de su casa de habitación 5:00 am ubicada en un municipio del departamento de León, abre su negocio a las 6:00 am para ofertar a toda su clientela, finalizando sus labores a las 12:00 pm de lunes a viernes en este mismo horario Por la tarde prepara su producto para el día siguiente, inició su negocio como vendedora ambulante con un pequeño capital el cual era producto de su ahorro y aporte de su esposo, es madre de tres hijos solo dos están a su cargo
La Joven solicita un crédito a Ceprodel el que utilizara para gastos médicos (realizarse estudio clínico para una cirugía de bocio) la cual le permitirá recuperar su salud y así continuar trabajando con su negocio, durante su operación su hija mayor se encargara de ayudarle con el negocio. Ella espera recuperar su salud lo más pronto posible para continuar brindándoles el apoyo a sus pequeños hijos.
This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.
