Sally is 45 years old and married with two children. She lives in Tangub City. For the past 15 years, Sally has operated a motorcycle transport business and she earns a monthly income of 5,000 PHP. She joined GDMPC in 2010.
Sally is requesting a 30,000 PHP loan to buy chicken to fry and sell to the local community from a food stall. She plans to use the profit from her loan to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
