For the past 11 years, Trinidad has been selling baked snack foods in her local community, to earn a living. Trinidad is 57 years old, married, and has four children. She is from Mitugas, Tudela, Misamis Occidental. She earns 2,500 PHP a month from her work.
Trinidad joined GDMPC in 2011. She is requesting a 5,000 PHP loan to purchase the ingredients she needs to make baked snacks to sell. She plans to use the income generated with her loan, to expand her business and save for her future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
