Aong is 57 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. One of her children is employed in a garment factory and earns about $3 each day.
Due to lack of funds, Aong is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase a store in the market for her child to sell clothes. By doing so, her child would be able to make more income for the family. In the future, she would like to expand her farming business and help her youngest child earn bachelor’s degree.
