Through her own initiative and with great effort and dedication, Lucy offers services by filing saw blades. She also rents out a motorcycle taxi to different drivers who provide transportation services. Lucy begins her day in the early morning hours and is able to work approximately 10 hours each day. She enjoys her work and believes she is doing well because of her efforts and the friendly treatment she provides to her customers.

Lucy is extremely grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the assistance they have provided, she will be able to buy wood, nails, corrugated iron sheets, and paint. Since the rainy season is approaching, she would like to make improvements to her home so that she can provide more security and greater well-being for her family. About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
