Miguel
Miguel is single and has no children. He lives as a renter in his aunt and uncle’s five-bedroom house but shares all space with them. The walls are dressed with stucco and the floor is cement and wood. The house is located in the Norte zone of La Paz.

He currently works as an attorney for a law office doing legal work; he’s been employed for a year and earns a monthly salary. Miguel contributes towards the family’s basic costs. Miguel es soltero y no tiene hijos, vive en alquiler en la casa de sus tíos ocupando cinco habitación pero comparte las demás dependencias con sus tíos, las paredes están revocadas con estuco y el piso es de tablones y cemento, la casa se encuentra ubicada en la zona Norte de la ciudad de La Paz.
Actualmente trabaja como procurador en un bufete de abogados realizando tramites de legalización ya hace un año percibiendo un salario mensual. Miguel colabora con los pagos de servicios básicos de su familia.
El crédito lo requiere para el pago de los trámites de egreso de su carrera de la facultad de derecho y poder ejercer como abogado y así poder tener un ingreso más y mejorar sus ingresos.
El sueño de Miguel Ángel es adquirir su propio estudio jurídico y poder manejar sus propios casos y poder tener personas que le colaboren como él lo hizo en la ciudad de La Paz y así mejorar su calidad de vida.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
