José has been selling book bags for the past 16 years. He started this because he needed a way to generate an income and he took advantage of the severance pay he received in the 90’s. The business is located in one of the city’s two markets. He will use the money from this loan to buy book bags so he can take advantage of the start of the school year and increase his income in the near future. José Benigno is grateful to the Kiva lenders who help people of limited resources in poor countries such as Nicaragua.
