Saet's Group

57-year-old Saet is a resident in a rural area of Kror Kor district in Cambodia's Pursat province. She is a widow and a mother of seven children, one of whom (a son) is under her responsibility and currently a student in grade eight. To continually support the family, Saet has been working as a rice farmer for almost 30 years. She earns around 7,500 KHR per day.

Saet is leading a loan group of three female members to take out a loan in the amount of 1,400,000 KHR in total. She will utilize her loan portion to pay the cost of labor. She hopes to see improvement in the living standards of her family as well as to be able to support her school-aged child's education.

The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
