Angel is very hardworking. Beginning in the early morning, he works as a sensor installer for a small company in his city. With the fruits of his labor, he supports his parents, because they do not have much income. Angel believes that his job is going well because he is very responsible, and especially because he has the desire to do things well and be successful.
Angel is very grateful for the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help, he will be able to construct a bathroom from good materials in his home. Since his home is made of adobe (bricks made of mud and straw), the humidity is eroding the walls and it is dangerous because the house could collapse at any given time. In this way, he will be able to provide a better quality of life for his family and continue fighting to make his greatest dream come true: "to study at university and continue supporting his parents."

About Housing Loans
Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
