Joyce is 34 years old and married with six children. She plans to start a business selling tinned fish, powder, flour, sugar, salt, ice cream, ice pop, chicken legs, etc. She has requested a loan to buy more goods and also new goods for her business.
Joyce will use her profits to help with family matters and her children's education. She has been a member of SPBD since 2012.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
