A loan of $4,400 helped a member to buy cattle.

Las Rosas Del Tolar Group's story

The “Las Rosas Del Tolar” communal bank is in its third cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Patacamaya center. It’s made up of ten members and directed by a board of directors where Lidia serves as the president. The members are involved in different businesses, such as cheese sales, milk sales, broasted chicken, and driver.

The is loan will benefit the small businesses, including Lidia, who has been with Pro Mujer for three years, having joined on the invitation of an advisor who visited her her home. She sells milk and inherited this business from her parents.

This loan will allow her to buy cattle from the surrounding communities, raise them, and sell them on order from El Alto. This type of work will allow her to earn income to support her household. She is married and has a son.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the attention.

Luisa and Jorge are missing from the photograph because they had to pick up their livestock.
