Peter is a 40-year-old man who is married with five children living in Kyenjojo, Uganda. The main items that he sells are sugar, salt, and soap, among others. He has been in this trade for three years in the rural areas of Kyenjojo. Because his clients cannot easily travel to urban centers for his services, he monopolizes the area. In addition to the retail business, he practices farming for additional income. Peter is requesting a loan to buy general merchandise such as salt and sugar to sell.
