Claudia
Claudia is 36-years-old and she lives in the city of Barranquilla. She is known and respected in her native neighborhood. As a born merchant, she develops skills with mastery and intelligence and is always ready to look for honest business opportunities. This brings a benefit to support her 11-year-old daughter, whom she dedicates all of her work efforts and attention toward in order to make her happy and improve her well-being.

From a very young age she did her first entrepreneurial venture and 13 years ago she began her commercial work, with that she has managed little by little to make it grow. She has increased the assortment and each time generated more clients.

The items that she sells are primarily clothing, shoes, cosmetics, and general perfumes. Likewise she has taken advantage of her Creole clientele and offered them a service of cellular phone calls by the minute. With that she generates even more revenue. She realizes her sales in cash and lots of times by credit. She works ten hours a day.

She buys from suppliers, which are multinational companies that offer her items by means of specialized magazines or catalogs and with them she promotes her sales service.

Her future goal is to have her own home and for this reason her major challenge is to increase her capital from her work. The season approaches of Christmas and New Year, a time in which her sales increase and the money that she gathers from the product of her accounts is not sufficient.

This is the reason she is asking for a Kiva Loan. With the loan she will purchase elegant clothing, shoes, feminine accessories that her clients will wear in the nicest family parties of the year. Since she knows the market and applies the loan in the highest peaks of her sales period, her Kiva loan will be successful.
