Lili has been engaged in her tailoring activity for the past 10 years. She stitches 'salwar' outfits (traditional Indian dresses) for her customers when they place orders with her. Presently she has one sewing machine with her in her shop. She has a very good relationship with her customers as she completes the orders given to her on time. She provides training to the girls in her village for stitching.
Lili is a 39-year-old widowed lady living with her son and daughter who are in school. After her husband's death she started a tailoring shop in her house to support her family's.
She has requested a loan in the amount of 40,000 INR for purchasing two sewing machines and fabrics for her shop; and she also wants to appoint a work force to help her. She says that doing so will increase her capacity for taking orders and increase her customer base. She has a dream to make a big training center for women and provide a good education to her children.
