Marium is an active and hard working woman. She is 50 years-old and has three children, two sons and a daughter. Her elder son is a shopkeeper while the rest are taxi drivers.

Marium has excellent embroidery skills and she sells embroidered products in the market. She is running this business to contribute some amount to the family income and to keep herself busy as she does not like to waste her skills and precious time by sitting idle at home. Her business is doing well and the demands for her embroidery products are increasing day by day.

Marium as a member of a six member lending group and has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase fabric and packs of threads of various colors so that she can continue her business in the future as well.
