Afou
Ms. Afou was born in 1968 in Karibougou/ Sikasso. She is mother of three children and lives with her spouse in Mandela (the third largest administrative region in Mali). She has been in business for more than six years. Her experience in this field has earned her a good reputation and she receives orders from various customers. In order to have the means necessary to satisfy these customers, she decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso, a microfinance institution, two years ago. All her prior loans have been fully repaid. This new loan will enable her to buy 10 bags of 50kg of fonio and five bags of corn. She stocks up in the villages surrounding Mandela. Her sales are usually made to male and female customers on-site and at the Sikasso market. With this loan, she expects to earn an average monthly profit of 20,000 FCFA. This profit will allow her to pay the interest on her loan and to invest the rest in her business. She plans to become a reputable wholesaler in order to satisfy her many clients who continue to grow in number.

Madame AFOU est en 1968 à Karibougou/Sikasso, mère de 3 enfants elle vit chez son époux à Mandela (troisième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elle mène cette activité commerciale depuis plus de 6 ans. Son expérience dans ce domaine, lui a valu une bonne réputation et reçoit des commandes de divers clients. Ainsi pour avoir les ressources nécessaires afin de satisfaire ces clients, elle décida de collaborer avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso, il ya 2 ans maintenant, tous les prêts antérieurs ont été correctement remboursés.
Ce nouveau prêt lui permettra d’acheter 10 sacs de 50 kg de fonio et 5 sacs de maïs. Elle s’approvisionne dans les villages environnants de Mandela. Les ventes sont généralement faites à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes sur place et au marché de Sikasso.
Avec ce prêt, elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 20 000 FCFA par mois. Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer les intérêts de son prêt et investir le reste dans son activité.
