Aissatou
Aissatou C., age 42, is married and has four children, one of whom is in her care, in addition to her grandson. She has been a member of the village bank of Simbandi Brassou for six and a half years. She sells medicines and ice cream, which is made starting with monkey bread (baobab fruit), bissap (hibiscus flower), and sugar. She is the matron of her village. She gets her stock of medicines at the health district. She wants a loan that will help her to contribute better to community health (given the frequent shortages of medicines in the village) and to the support of her family. The loan she is requesting will be repaid all at once at the end of six months.
