Ky is a 53-year-old married mother residing in a rural village located in Moung Russey district of Battambang Province. Ky has six children, three of whom are schoolchildren. For her and her family, paddy rice farm and cornfield are the main source of her family income. It is the business that she has been with for 10 years.
This is the second loan with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. The first loan, which she has wisely used to upgrade her living conditions, has been repaid with success already. Now, she is seeking 2,000,000 KHR. She is going to use this to pay for the harvest fee for her paddy rice and corn. She hopes to gain triple her income so that she can replant these crops, and make a good profit to can keep her three children in school until tertiary level.
