Ayub is a married man and father of one child. He has been selling fruits and vegetables for three years. It is his only source of income. Ayub has been working since he left secondary school.
Ayub is applying for his second loan from Kiva's partner in order to increase his shop's variety of products with seasonal fruits and vegetables. He is sure that this loan will increase his income and improve his living conditions, and he hopes that he will remain capable of providing for his family.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
