Mwanajuma is a married woman living with her husband and five children. She manages two businesses, a charcoal stall and a khanga (women's cloth wrap) business. She works very hard to give her kids access to a high quality education.
Her store has been open for 6 years now, and has become the main source of income for her family. Through the busy store and business, she has gotten to know her neighbors much better, which in turn has grown her customer base.
Her store mainly sells khanga and charcoal. She wants to increase the variety of products she can offer to her customers, and also wants to further stock her business, since the demand for khangas is on the rise. Her future plans include expanding her business. She plans to use the support from this loan to purchase bales of khanga and sacks of charcoal.
