Merashid lives in the town of Samburu, in the coastal region of Kenya. She is married and has 4 children. For the past 15 years, Merashid has been working hard to manage her mat-weaving business and livestock business, which includes the fattening of goats for resale.
To help expand her business, Merashid has requested a loan of 35,000 Kenyan Shillings (KES). The loan will be used to buy more goats for resale. The increase will help Merashid to generate greater profits, enabling her to improve her family's standard of living and pay for her medical bills. Merashid hopes that, in the future, she will be able to have the best goat breeds in the whole village.
