Teresia is married and lives with her husband and three children. Her children attend school.
Teresia relates that, in order to start her business, she had to go to college. It was there that she learned the dressmaker trade, working as a seamstress in a factory producing windcheater jackets. She was able to save money over the years, and as a result, with her savings she bought a sewing machine and started her business. At the present time, she is one of the best known people for sewing articles of clothing, jackets, curtains, sheets etc.
The loan that Teresia has applied for is intended to purchase fabrics and other articles to be able to satisfy her customer’s wishes. In this way, she intends to offer them better and faster service.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
