Franco is single living in his parents’ house. He works as a salaried employee for 8 hours daily and also attends a public university in his free time. He lives in the city of La Paz’s Alto Taqcagua zone. Being from a humble family, Franco uses most of his salary to help with household expenses. He needs the loan to pay for dental care to treat an advanced case of painful tooth decay. Franco’s dream is to be able to save money to have a business of his own to help his family. This is the first time he’s been part of KIVA.
Franco es soltero y vive en casa de sus padres, trabaja como empleado por ocho horas al día y estudia en una de las universidades públicas el resto de su tiempo libre.vive en la zona de Alto Taqcagua de la ciudad de La Paz.
Al ser de familia humilde, Franco da gran parte de su sueldo para colaborar en los gastos del hogar. El crédito lo requiere para pagar un tratamiento dental por un problema de caries muy avanzado y doloroso.
El sueño de Franco es poder ahorrar dinero para tener un negocio propio con lo que pueda ayudar a su familia.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.
To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
