Mohammad is a Lebanese married man. He’s 55 years old. He’s really attached to his wife and children, two of whom are studying and one is working. By cooperating, Mohammad and his wife are able to cover their heavy life expenses in order to live a respectable life. He started his business many years ago. He had to work with high professionalism to prove that he’s a necessary support for his family. He has been working as a car mechanic in his own garage and has gained a fair number of customers asking for his services. Today, he’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to buy added mechanic's tools and renovate his garage. In that way, he will respond rapidly to his clients’ problems. He believes that acting properly is really essential to attract more customers. In the future, he plans to take more Kiva loans and improve his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
