Mirtala
Mirtala, 23, is married and has two children. She lives in the company of her family in a community in the municipality of Victoria, Yoro Department. Mirtala learned agriculture from her parents when she was still very little and at the moment works growing corn to sell. She decided to get an ODEF loan for 10,000 Lempiras to pay labor costs and buy fertilizer and other supplies to provide corn crop care. She states that she’s encouraged because she used to get money from private individuals in her community at very high interest rates. La Señora Mirtala tiene 23 años de edad, es casada, tiene 2 hijos, reside en compañía de su familia en una comunidad del municipio de Victoria, Departamento de Yoro.
Mirtala aprendió la agricultura de sus padres desde muy pequeña, ella en este momento se dedica a la producción de maíz para la venta.
Decidió obtener un préstamo con ODEF por la cantidad de 10,000 Lempiras los que invertirá en el pago de mano de obra y compra de fertilizantes e insumos para la asistencia técnica del cultivo de maíz.
Manifiesta sentirse motivada ya que anteriormente solicitaba dinero al crédito a personas particulares de su comunidad a intereses muy altos.
Ella espera mejorar los rendimientos productivos y la calidad del grano, lo que le permitirá obtener mayores ingresos.
Con las utilidades que reciba, Mirtala piensa apoyar a sus hijos con el estudio preescolar.
