Yanet
Yanet is 33 years old and lives with her partner, Hugo who is also a father to their 2 children of 12 and 6 years of age who are brought up and educated in their own home located in a rural area in the central jungle. Yanet is a hardworking and good-natured mother who works in agriculture. In her hectares she grows plantains and coffee plants that are sold in the city of La Merced to coffee cooperatives that give her good profits for her products. “The coffee in this area is well sought after, that is why when I harvest it I sell it quickly,” she says.

Hugo, her partner, works in the fields cleaning and fertilizing the crops and has to hire laborers since it is a hard job. It is also considered that it is more profitable to make coffee nurseries in their home and to do that they need special bags, seeds and organic fertilizers.

“Every thousand units are sold between 400 to 450 soles,” Yanet says. She hopes to give her children a good education and that is why she will continue to work hard. This is her seventh loan with MFP, and is committed to being punctual in her payment quotas as she has been in past loans. Yanet also mentions that she is very happy with the communal bank, “Light of the Future” since she is one of the founders.

With the 2000 soles, Yanet will buy more organic manure to make coffee nurseries and for her own crops.
