Sales are frequently made on credit terms and purchases of merchandise are made on cash terms, she works on business activities from 7 AM to 9 PM. Her clients are neighbors, friends, classmates and anyone that she can identify as a potential customer; she pays attention to their needs or wishes and offers them products. Her goal is to organize a store where she can offer products that her neighbors want or wish to buy. She is currently applying for a Kiva credit, with which she will buy facial and body lotions, cosmetics, etc. With this she will increase her working capital to buy more volume and get special discounts that will benefit her clients that have already put orders in and that she will make a bit more money on.

Katerine de 28 años de edad vive en un barrio tradicional de la ciudad de Barranquilla al sur de la ciudad, con su cónyuge y su hijo de 4 años de edad. Allí se dedica desde hace 7 años, a la venta de productos variados como colonias, perfumería productos capilares y de uso personal. Negocio que nació de su propia iniciativa de apoyar los gastos de su hogar y con el que poco a poco ha logrado aumentar el bienestar del mismo. Los productos los ofrece mediante guías especializadas, que le suministra una empresa ala que está afiliada y desde donde toma sus pedidos producto de la preventa. Sus ventas las realiza a crédito con una frecuencia diaria y sus compras las realiza de contado, actividades derivadas de su negocio por las que trabaja desde las 7 de la mañana hasta las 9 de la noche. Su clientela está conformada por vecinos, amigos, compañeros de estudio y todo a quien conoce y lo identifica como su cliente potencial, observa su necesidad o deseo y le ofrece producto a producto. Su meta es organizar un almacén donde ofrecer todos los productos que su vecindad necesita o anhela comprar. En la actualidad está aplicando a un creidkiva, con el cual comprará cremas faciales y corporales, productos de tocador, etc. Con ello incrementará su capital de trabajo para comprar en mayor volumen y obtener descuentos especiales que beneficien a su clientela que desde ya ha hecho sus pedidos y con los que ella ganará un poco mas.
