Mwari is a dedicated woman who lives with her husband and five children in the rural area of Tiribe. She is 38 years old and has been running a small business selling fish from her home. She has been in this business for the last ten years. Through this business, she has been able to provide for her children and pay for their education. Mwari is asking for a loan to add stock of fish for her business. She feels happy and responsible by helping her husband in the daily household expenses.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
