Victoria, 37, is a single mother. Her two children are between the ages of 13 and 20; they live with their mother in the Congo Town community and are currently in school. Victoria stopped her education in the eleventh grade. She is a hardworking mother who has been operating a restaurant for the past 6 years. She sells six days a week, ten hours every day.
She prepares palm butter, cassava leaves, palava sauce (a type of stew), fufu (starchy dumplings), and soup made from cassava. She makes profit when she sells, and with the profit she buys more goods and attends to the needs of her children. She purchases her goods from the general market and transports them by commercial vehicle.
She thanks the lenders for empowering her in her business, because with the business she feels self reliant. She is requesting this loan to purchase more ingredients for her business. Her dreams is to have a bigger restaurant.
