Noun P. is a vegetable seller in Kampong Cham. Her daily revenue amounts to 3 US$ per day. She is 37 years old and has had her vegetable selling business since the year 2000. Her husband operates a motor-taxi which earns him minimal wages. His profession is one that rarely offers consistent income. They have five children who also work hard to keep the family afloat. One of the older sons is a construction worker. Noun P. would like a loan to help her son develop his trade as a construction worker. If he can buy his own tool set he will be able to get more jobs or possibly even a permanent position. With the remainder of the loan she wants to install a water pump at her family home.
