Channy is 37 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been running a tailoring shop at home for more than three years, earning approximately $3 daily.
Her husband runs a public transportation service (tuk tuk). He makes an income of $5 each day. Because the present motorbike is broken, Channy is requesting a loan of $1300 to replace the motorbike. This purchase will help her husband attract more customers and earn more income for the family.
In addition, a part of this money will be used to purchase more cloth to use for sewing clothes. In the future, Channy would like to expand her shop and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
