Micheal is a fifty-two-year-old married man with eight children living in Fort Portal, Uganda. His main business is crop production, and in addition a dairy cow that earns him additional income from milk sales. His main challenges are unpredictable weather changes and price fluctuations. He has plans of buying a solar system, educate his children, buy a car and complete construction of his residential house. Micheal is requesting a loan to buy land and expand his banana plantation.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
