Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

San Isidro Group's story

The San Isidro women's committee is from the city of Paraguarí. The women of this group found out about the Fundación Paraguaya program and it turned out to be an excellent opportunity to be able to work together and help each other. Right now there are 14 women.

Juana is one of these women. She sells fruits and vegetables. She has good customers because her products are very good and fresh and she offers them at a good price. She is a very likable woman, which helps her a lot at her work, because she has to deal with a lot of people.

Juana wants to invest in her business and that is why she is asking for this loan, so she can buy vegetables in season and thus maintain a good selection at her stand. This way she will have the means to help her family.

In this group: Virginia Alexis, Gladys, Cinthia Raquel, Susana, Eduarda, Juana, Mirna, Norma, Fátima, Petrona, Margarita, Mariel Judith, Guillermina, Lisa Carolina*
