Edwin Rafael
In December, the consumption of all products increase as there is a lot of money circulating. The families generally spend it on Christmas and New Year’s festivities because employees use their bonuses and premiums to be able to buy the best clothing, accessories, food etc… and share them with their family at the most beautiful time of the year. Fashion jewellery is no exception, so Edwin, a 27-year-old business owner that sells silver jewellery, takes advantage of the season to supply his business and sell more than usual.

He has made a home for his common-law wife and 2-year-old son for whom he works as a trader and strives to achieve household income that benefit his home, selling on credit. It is precisely in this season, where his big challenges occur: being able to fulfill all his customers’ orders, when he makes his pre-sale visits, that is why he went to Kiva for a loan. It's his first financing that he makes with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. He will buy fashion jewelry in large volumes to get a special discount as well as to earn more money through sales.

Edwin is a good family member, as he works hard in other activities, so that his home always has greater prosperity. He and his wife are very much in agreement, in making sure their child has a secure education in the future. She works as a trader of these products, so that with her husband their dreams can be turned into reality for everyone.
