Madeleine is 36 years old, married and a mother of a family. She is a trader, and for eight months has been rearing chickens for resale in an area of the capital city. Her farm is working well, and she has won the loyalty of a customer base over the course of time; this customer base is growing on a daily basis and she is no longer able to meet the demand - hence the importance of this loan not only to increase her livestock numbers but also to buy feed for them.
This will increase her sales, especially with the upcoming holiday season, and thus her profits will also rise. She will invest part of the income into the business, and the rest will allow her to meet her family's needs.
