Mara is 31 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband runs a business of purchasing junk materials to resell. He makes an income of about $5 daily.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Mara is requesting a loan of $400 to purchase a cow to breed and produce a calf to sell. By doing so, she would earn extra income to financially support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and send her children to a good school. Moreover, she hopes to build a new and bigger house to provide better living conditions for her family.
