Lang makes a living through farming rice on a hectare plot of farmland. Having been in the current business for 10 years, she is able to earn around 15,000 KHR per day. Lang is leading a loan group comprised of two female members who are both first-time borrowers with VisionFund (Kiva's partner) to take out a loan in the amount of 1,500,000 KHR in total. As the group leader, Lang will use her portion of the loan, which is 1,000,000 KHR, to support her rice-growing business by buying fertilizer and to operate a new business by buying piglets to raise.
In the future, Lang hopes to be able to buy more plots of farmland in order to expand her rice-growing business, which is the business that provides the main source of her family's income, and generate more income for the family.
