Safari is a resident of the Mariakani area of Coast province, Kenya. He is a married father of three children. Safari owns a retail shop, a business that he has been running for nine years. He began the business through the savings he made from casual jobs. In this shop, he sells goods such as ropes and brooms.
Safari learnt about Milango from other clients and joined the institution with the aim of accessing credit to improve the operations of his business. The main challenges he faces are high taxation and market fees.
Safari is applying for a loan of 41,900 Kenyan shillings (KES) to purchase more brooms, ropes and other goods to sell. The extra income from the loan will be added to his savings to improve his family's living standards. He aspires to own other centers and plans to provide his children with a secure education.
