Jules is married to Josiane, a merchant. The couple have 3 children, some of whom go to school. Jules and Josiane live together with their children and take care of the different household responsibilities together. Jules did not get much schooling.

Jules is a tailor and has been selling shirts and trousers in his workshop for 15 years; this enables him to meet his family's needs without too much difficulty. Jules would like to strengthen his business and be able to buy sewing supplies so that he can better respond to his customer demand. In order to do this, he and the other members of the "L'amour de dieu" group are requesting their first loan from ALIDé.
Le groupe " L’AMOUR DE DIEU " est formé de trois personnes qui sont des amies qui s'approvisionnent au même endroit. Le représentant de ce groupe, nommé Jules, âgé de 31 ans, est celui dont la main est levée sur la photo. Jules est marié à Josiane, une marchande. Le couple à trois enfants, dont certains sont scolarisés. Jules et Josiane vivent ensemble avec leurs enfants et assurent ensemble les différentes charges de la maison. Jules a peu fréquenté l'école. Jules est couturier ; il y a de cela quinze ans que Jules exerce comme activité, la vente de chemises et des pantalons dans son atelier ; ce qui lui permet de répondre sans grande difficulté aux besoins de sa famille. Dans le souci de mieux d’acheter des fournitures de couture et des tissus pantalons pour répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle, Jules désire renforcer son activité. Pour ce faire, Jules sollicite, ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe " L’AMOUR DE DIEU ", un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
