Gordove lives in Sangay Daku, Ozamis City. For 25 years, he has earned a living and supported the needs of his two children by proving transportation services. He earns an income of 5,000 PHP a month for this business. For a 49-year-old father, there is nothing that can make him happier than seeing his children successful in their studies. Without hesitation, Gordove has borrowed 10,000 PHP from GDMPC to repair the vehicle used in his business and to provide his children a better education. He is new to GDMPC. His plan for the future is to hopefully improve his business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
