Manuel
Manuel is a 31-year-old farmer in a common-law marriage with his wife and he lives in Sololá. He has three children: one boy and two girls. They study in a school in the community and support him in the field in their free time.

He makes a living in agriculture cultivating onions, potatoes and cabbage in plots that he has a few meters from his home. This he learned from his father when he was a child studying in primary school and helping in the field of agriculture and that was his first job.

He has now spent five years doing his own farming seeing that he obtains good profits cultivating these vegetables. He is requesting a loan of 10,000 quetzales (GTQ) so that he can buy potato seeds, cabbage seedlings and fertilizer to cultivate and harvest them, improving the family's income.

He dreams of expanding his crops, improving his profits, finishing the construction of a house that he has for his family and giving them better living conditions.
