Reum is 39 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $4 daily. Her husband is a construction foreman who makes an income of $9 each day. One of her children is a garment worker and earns about $5 per day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Reum requests a loan of $1100 to purchase piglets and fodder to use for breeding. By doing so, she would earn more income to financially support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn higher education. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
