Rebecca is a 40-year-old married woman with three children living in Kasese, Uganda.
She has been operating a drug shop business for 15 years and also practices farming for additional income.
Years ago, when she fell sick, she went to a government hospital for treatment. The doctor prescribed medicine that she had to buy from a drug shop that was ten kilometers away. She then realized the need to start a drug shop business in her village and has since reaped tangible benefits despite challenges of inadequate capital to meet the high demand.
Rebecca intends to use the loan to buy drugs to sell.
