Angelie, 30, is married with three children. She is from Panta-on, Ozamis City. To make a living, Angelie owns and operates a banana production business. For almost eight years, Angelie has usually earnt 5,000 PHP per month.
In 2011, Angelie joined GDMPC. Angelie is requesting a loan of 9,000 PHP which will be used to purchase pesticides and cover costs paid for banana planting. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
