Milly lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with two children, one of whom currently attends school. She is not looking after any other member of the family.
Milly has been selling charcoal from home at wholesale and retail for eight years. She works seven days a week. She also sells piped water and rental houses as other sources of income.
Milly has requested a loan of UGX 800,000 from MCDT- SACCO to buy more sacks of charcoal for sale. Her challenges include transportation and the high costs of running a business. Her dream is to become a wholesaler and also to educate her children up to the university level. She joined MCDT because of members' testimonies about the benefits of being a member. She lives in her husband`s house without access to electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses include rent.
