Joyce lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with five children, all of whom currently attend school. She is not looking after any other member of the family.
She has been operating a hair salon for seven years and works seven days a week. She has no other source of income. She has requested for a loan of UGX 600,000 from MCDT- SACCO to stock braids, weaves, hair chemicals and oils for sale and for the salon. Her challenges include an unstable power supply. Her dream is to own a big salon and be able to provide various services.
She joined MCDT because loans are timely. She rents a house with access to electricity and no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and rent.
